We were watching some new show earlier, and a segway about Wacko Jacko getting some woman pregnant with quadruplets came on. "Oh my.." said my 9 year old- going-on-40-something son "I know why he's doing that.  He's just trying to get more kids to molest.  He makes these babies with the moms then tells the moms he hates them, sends the moms away, keeps the babies and molests them.  Then the kids grow up and molest other kids because they were molested when they were k...

Disclaimer:  I am not responsible for damage to equipment or personal injuries that may result from viewing the content of this article.  Read and look at your own risk! I got my picture in the base newspaper today.  Really it's my butt that made its debut. We were at the pool on Tuesday afternoon, and there was a photographer from the base paper there, taking pictures of the little kids splashing around in the shallow end. I was just laying out, trying to top up my tan....

I have a question, and I'm probably going to sound really dumb here... ...how do I check out someone's IP address?  Can I even do that? I'm doing a background check and having this info would be really helpful to me. Thanks!

I think that each and every one of us is born with a bullshit-ometer.  We all have the capability to detect BS when we smell it.....some of us have slightly more sensitive meters than others.  I like to think that I have a pretty dang sensitive, finely tuned meter...partially genetically inherited, partially honed because of the inerview and interrogation techniques I've been taught (and am still being taught). My BS-ometer has gone off a few times in the last 5 months, and so far I...

I don't know why, but I've been having some nagging doubts about my feelings for my husband and our relationship recently.  I do know why - it's because he's so close to coming home.  I'm having to face the reality of the circumstance now.  It's not a far-away dream anymore.  I look at pictures of him, and whilst I feel like I love him, know him....I find myself feeling so distant and detached.  Like the Dave I've come to know is just a bunch of words in an email, a ...

I'm running around like a headless chicken. We have opted not to fork out $200 to have someone clean our house to inspection standards for us.  I'm doing it.  I started this past weekend with the ideal that if I get most of it done now, it should ony be a matter of a touch-up here and there after all the furniture is gone for us to pass. The military inspections to leave military housing aren't that bad, but they're not easy either.  They're picky about appliances and bathrooms...

It's Friday night and my husband and his friends are having a get together. Are they going to the club to party, I hear you ask?  Partying all night, drinking themelves into a stupor?  Playing poker, perhaps?  Watching movies? None of the above.  Thay're having a milk drinking challenge. Some bright spark decided that they should (a la 'Jackass') see who can not only drink a gallon of milk in the shortest time but who can keep said milk down for the longest.  Th...

Shh....what I'm about to tell you you cannot tell anyone else.  I'm afraid that if I tell too many people I'll jinx myself and it won't come true/be true. The morons next door are moving off base.  Next week.  I heard it from my friend down the street, and my kids also heard the same thing from the moron's kids.   My friend down the street is a no-bullshit kind of gal, so I tend to believe her....and the moron's kids are famously big-mouthed when it comes to secrets,...

Dave got 'Knighted' last weekend. Thule AB has a tradition of awarding those who have served their time in the Arctic circle with a certificate that bestows them with the title of 'Knight of the Order of The Blue Nose'.  It basically honors them for surviving sub zero temperatures, white-out blizzard conditions, perma-frost, constant daylight or constant darkness, arctic foxes, glaciers...you get the idea. Here is Sir Dave being awarded his certificate by the base commander: ...

My husband is coming home in 30 days. I'm really kind of scared.  See, we've lived apart for a year (all except for 3 months in January when he came home on leave).  Living together again is going to take some getting used to. I've done things my way.  It's been just me and the kids.  He's done his thing...it's been just him and 'the guys'.  Trying to get the two to blend together...that's going to be difficult. I'm speaking from experience here.  He's ...

I think that I finally found a web host site that will work with me and my photos of the kittens.... This is Chester scrapping with Brad   This is Jill, who has long fur and looks like she's tangled with a hair dryer and lost most of the time: This is my daughter Shea and Bradley, her favorite kitty: And finally, this is Spot, the smallest, who appears to be finding something terribly interesting to look at on the bottom of our rocking chair: Hopefully ...

I got up this morning and found Jacques my crab naked and deceased at the bottome of the tank. Since he had moulted, he had kept getting naked and running aound out of his shell.  I had given him a variety of different shells to try on, and he kept going back to his old one.  So, I kept him in isolation. This morning, there he was.  I don't know what happened.  I'm sad...Jacques was my first crab. Oh, and I'm sure there will ne resurrection like what happened with Bo...

My son's friend and her mom came to the door just now.  They live all the way up the street.  Thay asked if we had lost a crab. They had found, in their yard, a huge hermit crab.  Where he came from, no-one knows.  How he survived, no-one knows. But we took him in.  We haven't got a name for him yet that we can agree on.  Anyone got any ideas?

I was thinking this afternoon, after writing that article about my 11 year old getting hit on at the pool....(that wood burning smell that some of you might have experienced was me thinking.  Hope it didn't alarm you all too much) When did it become ok to view 13 year old pubescent girls as sexual objects?  Or even 14, 15 or 16 year olds?  Apparently it's happened, and is still happening.  Look at the amount of pedophila we have on the net.  Look at the clothing being...

My children and I have been spending quite a bit of time at the pool recently. My 11 year old daughter, who is...ahem...quite developed for her age, shall we say, has been getting a lot of attention.  Not from kids her own age. Not even from kids who are 1 or 2 years older than her. From 18+ year olds. She's pretty good about standing up for herself, and most of the time will handle herself and the situation alone. There have been occasions, and these occasions are becomi...
