Dear Joe,   I've been wanting to say this for a while, but have never seemed to find a good time, what with holidays and executions and what not.  However, things being what they are I feel that I HAVE to say this or else I will simply go mad. I feel like you and I are drifting apart, and that scares me.  We used to be so close....you'd be the first thing I thought of when I awoke in the morning and we'd enjoy each other over coffee.  I'd think of you alot and would ...

I'm blacklisted from a certain wanna-be politician's blog.  Again. The last time was because I suggested that he might want to let CPS into his home to see that everything is as it should be rather than risk losing his family to make a statement.  He took offence to that and went off saying how my husband was fighting to protect the constitution yet I was sullying it here at home. So what did I do to get blacklisted this time?  I merely affirmed another bloggers assertion th...

I sent out an email this afternoon asking some Joe Users for their mailing addresses so I can send them Christmas cards this year.  Good idea, right? I thought so until I realized that there are some people here who I'd like to send a card to but I don't have their email address. So, I'm writing this article instead.  I'd like it very much if all of the JU regulars could send me a mailing address so I can send them a Christmas card.  If any of you are uncomforta...

SO, AngelaMarie has had her baby Link Because she was a few weeks early, she's pretty small.  Like not quite 6lbs small.  All of the clothes I got for her look HUGE now.  She'll be swimming in them; the arms and the legs will be drooping off the end of her little limbs!  Even the hat that I made for her little bean will probably come down to her nose!  That's ok, though.  She'll grow into them.  New babies grow like little weeds; all of mine had g...

Seventeen articles of insanity. Link Seventeen of them. It would be somewhat tolerable if they were interesting and informative, but as it is they're basically the ramblings of someone who appears to have lost touch with reality.  Isn't there anything that can be done about it?  A couple of these I can handle....a dozen or so I might be able to ignore....but this is just ridiculous. Help, someone?  Please?

*this article was written as I was trying to calm down after being angered by something.  Please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors!* I think that we've all told lies at some point in our lives.  Sometimes we lie to cover our asses.  We've done something wrong and, rather than be caught, we make up a lie.  Sometimes we lie to spare someone's feelings.  When someone asks us "does this suit me?" or (and I'm sure that the guys who read with will b...

As most of you know, we've got two much loved bloggers who are pregnant and due to deliver baby girls next month.  Texas Wahine and Angela Marie have both shared their pregnancy news with us; we've watched them struggle with morning sickness, delighted with their babies first movements and have oohed and ahhed over their ultraound pictures. LW has very kindly offered to act as a rally point for gifts that people would like to send to Tex.  I'd like to do the same for Angela Marie.&n...

I've changed the name of my blog.  It's not 'Life as an Air Force wife' anymore.  It's now 'Confessions of a yarn junkie'. 'Life' had become...stale.  Matter of fact, my whole blogging experience has become stale of late. So, rather than give up the entire blog, I figured I'd give it a new coat of paint and re-arrange the furniture, so to speak. So, welcome to Confessions.  You can expect there to be a lot of talk about knitting and the qualities of various yarns and fi...

I did my usual routine this morning: get up, get the kids up, make coffee, check my email, visit JU to see what went on overnight. I usually hover my mouse over the article title so I can see who wrote it because there are bloggers who I avoid like they've got Gangrene and I've learned from experience that reading their stuff just makes for a bad start to the day.  With perhaps one or two exceptions, every article was written by the same blogger. I went to the additional 'N...

This is the first article I've written in over a week.  The migraine that I wrote about in my last article lasted until Monday, and had to be chased away by a shot of some strong meds and a LOT of sleep Monday afternoon.  I just haven't felt like writing since then.  I've taken some down time from blogging - from communicating with anyone, really.  I haven't wanted to talk or email or see anyone, I just wanted to be left alone.  I get that way sometimes.  I dunn...

*I don't have anything that's worth a single article, so I'm condensing a few random things into a single article.* As I was getting dressed this morning I heard my eldest son in the 'game' room, singing " wo-oh, black betty, bam-a-lam, wo-oh black betty, bam-a-lam, wo-oh black betty, bam-a-lam, black betty had a child, bam-a-lam, the darn thing gone wild, bam-a-lam..." The kid has taste after all!!!!!!!!!!    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...

I've had this blog here at JU for over 2 years now.  I've written a thousand plus articles; I opened my heart and sometimes my soul and poured the secrets held within onto the pages of this blog. I used to blog every day.  Lately, though....I've been lucky if I can force myself to produce a couple of articles a week. I've lost the will to blog.  I just don't feel like it anymore.  It's not that I don't have anything to write about' I've had plenty of happenings in my li...

I want to make a new blog group (the JU fitness club) but I can't for the life of me remember how to do it! Can anyone help?  Thanks!
