As most of you know, we've got two much loved bloggers who are pregnant and due to deliver baby girls next month.  Texas Wahine and Angela Marie have both shared their pregnancy news with us; we've watched them struggle with morning sickness, delighted with their babies first movements and have oohed and ahhed over their ultraound pictures.

LW has very kindly offered to act as a rally point for gifts that people would like to send to Tex.  I'd like to do the same for Angela Marie.  I have her mailing address and will be more than happy to pass on any gifts that people would care to send her.  If you're interested, drop me a line at dharmagirl69@gmail.com and I'll send you my address.  I'm not particularly worried about any of you stalking me; I live on a secure military installation - so I'm happy to pass that on to you.

I'm knitting a sweater, beanie and bootie set for Angela and have a few little pink outfits chosen for her.  I'm going to be going shopping for some more tomorrow; I know from reading her blogs that money is tight and that she doesn't have much for this soon-to-be-here little one.  I'm lucky in that we've got a really good thrift store on base so I'm heading over there tomorrow to see if I can find a few more gently/hardly used girly little outfits.  I'm grateful to be in a position to help, and I'm doing it not because I want people to see me doing it (sorry to disappoint all you folks who like to believe horrible things about me) but because I want Angela and her family to simply enjoy the last few weeks of her pregnancy and the first few days of having a newborn at home.

So Joe Users, if you'd like to send Angela a little something, let me know!

ah, dharma, you're a peach!

I'll see if I can get something together. You're the best.

Any ideas about what types of things she needs?

BeepBeep!  Roadrunner!

Bless you dear lady!

What a fantastic idea. I already bought a few things, but I'd love to send stuff to you too for this!

That would be nice. Missy didn't have a baby shower for Grace, because she doesn't have any friends other than Lindsay, and they "break up" as often as they are "together". It wouldn't surprize me if they ended up getting married someday, because they act like they are married.

Aww, thank you!  You have to be the most family-oriented single guy I know, and it's adorable!

From what I read the other day, she's got one outfit and a package of diapers thus far.  So, I'm guessing that clothes would be a good place to start, and maybe recieving blankets, bibs, bottles etc?  I'll email her and ask tomorrow, and then I'll let you know from there.

Bless you dear lady!

Thanks!  You too!  The blessing part, that is. Not the lady part, because you're not a lady.  The dear part would be fitting too, though.

Cool!

Why doesn't she have any other friends?  Does Lindsay get upset when she has other friends?  That'd be kind of interesting if she were.

Missy doesn't have any other friends because she has shown them that she is very self centered and no-one wants to be around her after they get to know her. At least that is what I hear from her old friends.

As for Lindsay, she does seem to do that. Everytime someone seems to be getting more time from Missy than she is, she gets angry and tells Missy that she won't be her friend anymore if she keeps it up. Amazingly, Missy actually goes for this instead of dropping her like a bad habit. I swear, if Lindsay says jump, Missy asks how high.

From the husband,

For all of you who are participating in this endevor I send thanks from the deepest part of my heart. I'm not into the girly things like a baby showers so it's nice that Angela has the support that she needs when she needs it from her friends on JoeUser. As I leave in January I hope that Angela keeps in touch with all of you because it's appearent that you are her support net when I not around. Thanks again, we will post pictures of our little one in all of her gifts as soon as we can. Thanks again!!
