*I don't have anything that's worth a single article, so I'm condensing a few random things into a single article.*

As I was getting dressed this morning I heard my eldest son in the 'game' room, singing " wo-oh, black betty, bam-a-lam, wo-oh black betty, bam-a-lam, wo-oh black betty, bam-a-lam, black betty had a child, bam-a-lam, the darn thing gone wild, bam-a-lam..."

The kid has taste after all!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday afternoon I glanced out of my kitchen window and saw the little boy that lives down the street from me riding his toy Harley motorcycle.  He was wearing a Superman cape and a pair of sunglasses and was going so fast his cape was fluttering in the breeze behind him.  I wish I'd have got a picture of it....it was the funniest thing I've seen in a while.

Our neighbors moved out yesterday.  It was sorry to see them go; they've been really nice to live next to.  We speak to each other when we're outside at the same time and wave if we pass each other on the road - but we didn't live in each other's pockets.  I learned a long time ago that being overfriendly with your neighbor can be a recipe for disaster.  They went to Vegas; he got a special duty assignment working with the Thunderbirds.  Whilst we were sorry to see them go, we're happy that he's got such a wonderful opportunity.  I'll miss his little girls saying hi and waving to me when I'm out with the dawgs, though.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm going to the BX later to get something for Tex's little girl.  As soon as I saw them I knew that I had to get them for her...matter of fact, I think that these things are going to be my gift for anyone who's having a baby.  What are they, you ask?  Well, as I'm useless at keeping a secret, I'll tell you:  baby Converse sneakers.  Little pink ones for baby girls, and little blue or red ones for baby boys.  I want to be the person who gives these new little people their first pair of Converse.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have a UTI.  It burns when I pee and (whilst I know this is probably too much information I'm going to tell you anyway) my pee smells funny.  I'm not sticking my head in the bowl and sniffing my pee, I can smell it from where I'm sitting.  I'm going to try and get rid of it myself with some natural remedies, but if it's no better by Monday I'm going to the doctor.  I've had kidney infections before, I know how much they suck and I don't want another one.  I know how I got this UTI - again, this is probably too much info - Dave and I 'got busy' Monday night and I fell asleep shortly afterwwards.  I normally get up to pee before I fall asleep, but this time I was really tired (and satisfied! heehee) and nodded off.  I won't be doing that again in a hurry.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, thats the haps in my neck of the woods.  Oh, wait.....Pseudo called me over the weekend.  He's on vacation with his boys for the next couple of weeks and we knew that we wouldn't get to talk to each other much, so he called to see what's up.  He's a really nice guy; he and I have found that we're very much alike and have become pretty good friends.  He's even helping me work out my problems at home, and I'm very grateful for that.  It's helpful to have a male perspective on things.
Now that really IS all I have to say.  I'm outta here and on my way to the BX.....
I am glad you have a friend like Psuedo, but not that you have a UTI!
I hope it clears up over the weekend.  Have a great one.
And your son does have taste!
now that was a very interesting blog!
sometimes it's good to see neighbors move! and other times not so good
depends on how one views their being in the neighborhood...most all of mine are great! just got the one family directly across from me that's the pits..
sorry about your UTI, I wrote an article about one I had, and I KNOW how miserable they are!! the sulfa medicine the doc gave me looked like pills you'd give a horse!! had to drink tons of water.
It's SO dang strange, just when I think I've got a blogger all figured out, along comes someone ( you dharma, in this case) and reveals the blogger's gender and I go beserk!! I thought Psuedo was a gal! and thought that Shades was male, and others have fooled me as well!! What's UP with that?!
The kid has taste after all
He would probably know it because of the Australian band Spiderbait, right? Or does he know the Ram Jam version?
Either way, I agree - great taste.
but we didn't live in each other's pockets. I learned a long time ago that being overfriendly with your neighbor can be a recipe for disaster.
I'm glad you put that into words. I've been having trouble figuring out why I feel so uncomfortably close to our own neighbors, but what you said pretty much sums it up. She (the mother of the family) was trying to live in our pockets and trying to get us to live in hers. Stuff like this makes me glad that we're military and always on the move
Interesting read...sometimes ya just don't need to write a long article to share little experiences. Hope you're feeling better now, and I hope the neighbor kid does more funny stuff next time you have a camera handy
