Usually, I am the giver of knitted things, not the reciever.

Our very own Spc Nobody Special decided to change all that.  I came home from shopping yesterday to find a priority mail box addressed to me sitting on the kitchen counter.  When I opened it, I found a hand knitted cabled scarf in a gorgeous colorway and a note from SpcNBS.

I can't begin to tell you how touched I am that someone would think enough of me to spend time knitting a scarf for me!  I know how good it feels to give knitted things, but now I know that it feels equally good to recieve them!

So, SpcNBS, thank you SOOOOOO much!  I wore the scarf this morning when Dave and I went out for our anniversary breakfast (we got married 13 years ago today - I love you, Dave.  It's all been well worth it - and we traditionally go out to eat sometime on our anniversary).  See:

Aint it purdy?!  It even matches the color in my hair!

Thanks again, NBS.  You should change your name...'cause you're certainly somebody special to me.

Oy. Thinking about this just makes my ovaries ache. I need to dig out my anvil and beat some metal to even out the hobby androgyny. After I finish the hat. And maybe some socks........

As long as they don't declare war on your testes you should be fine.

Nice scarf...I'm beginning to feel like everyone knows how to knit except me.

Now, I really like that picture on the wall in the background. Can you tell me about it?
