Still no word on where we're going next.  We filled out a 'dream sheet' of all the places we'd like to go to...looked at the map and chose places that were within a 12 hour drive of Lonesome's hometown.  We want to get closer to family..and if we can't be with mine, we'll be with his. In no particular order, we chose: Scott AFB, Illinois Vance AFB, Oklahoma McConnell AFB, Kansas Maxwell AFB, Alabama Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio and finally, Columbus AFB Mis...

We got there at 2230, and we had been on the road for 10 hours at that point.  Dave and I were both tired, the kids were getting whiny, and we decided that we wanted to make to through Des Moines before we stopped.  We found a traveller's magazine with a coupon for the Best Western in it, and as we'd never stayed with them before (we've always stuck to Super 8's - we thought the BW would be a slightly 'better' motel) we decide...
