I got 2 games for Christmas. Stubbs The Zombie was corrupt, and when I returned it the store didn't have another one and would only give me store credit (i hate best buy). So, that was a bust.
The second game I got, 'Missing since January' loaded okay, but when I went to play it it wouldn't connect to the server. Another bust.
Or so I thought. I went to the company site today, initially to complain that my game wouldn't work. When I was there, I saw a patch for the game I had. Apparently the developers had changed servers, and this patch would make the game hook up to the correct server. I downloaded the patch, and voila! My game works, and it's awesome. Very creepy, but cool at the same time. (Brandie, you ought to go do the same thing, I know you were having issues with your game too)
I increased my gabapentin does a few days ago. (I have to increase it again at the end of the week) Before this increase I couldn't really tell that I was taking it, but now....I can.
The best word I can use to describe how it makes me feel is wonky. Off center. Slightly discombobulated. Not enough to make me want to stop taking it, but enough to make me think twice about driving right after I've taken it. I'm sure that the side effects will diminish once I'm used to taking it, but until then I think I'm going to stay away from driving, riding my bike and sharp objects for about 2 hours after I've taken it. Once those 2 hours have passed I slowly stop feeling wonky and start feeling more normal and balanced again.
It's raining here today, and it's cold. It is, in other words, a bad day for anyone with arthritis, nerve damage, broken bones or replacement joints. Cold damp weather is hell on us. I'm in more pain today, but you know what? It's less pain than I would normally be in on a day like this. (I hope that makes sense.) And because I'm in less pain today than I normally would be, I don't want to stop taking the gabapentin. It's worth the temporary wonky, discombobulated feeling (that will probably go away).
It's a good day today. I got my game to run, I'm in less pain, my husband left me a lovely comment on my blog, I figured out how to make yoga socks, Jake scored 100% on all the tests he took at school....
...yep. It's a good day.
