Dharmagrl and kitty litter to the rescue!
Published on March 2, 2004 By dharmagrl In Misc
I'm going to do something a little out of character now - toot my own horn for a bit.

As you all know, we had a monster storm come in over the weekend (see my blog and associated pics for more details), and everyone got buried in snow.

My neighbours got it pretty bad...their truck got drifted in, as did their house. We all spent most of yesterday digging out..I got done around lunch time and retreated inside for hot tea and a nap.

Just as it was getting dark, I heard engines revving and people yeling outside. Looking out the window I could see 5 guys and a 4-wheeler trying to yank my neighbors pick-up out fo the drift it had got stuck in. Wheels were spinning, mud and snow was flying everywhere, and these dudes were getting pretty cold and frustrated. I watched them struggle for about 15 mins or so, then decided to do the decent thing and ask if they needed help.

I was met with blank stares.
"Well, uh, sure, I guess" one of them said with smirk. "dunno what you can do though".
"D'ya wanna try some cat litter? I have some" I said.
"Guess it can't hurt...."one guy said.

So off I go to get the bag of clay litter out of the trunk of my car. We poured some around the tires of the truck, the owner got in, started it, reversed.....

..and out it came, smooth as silk.

"God-damn! " someone said "Saved by a woman and a bag of freakin' kitty litter. Who'd a thunk it!"

I said the first thing that came to mind: " Yep! Who ya gonna call?!"

There, I said it.
