Last week, when LoneSum got his laptop, Texas Wahine said that she wondered how it would be to surf the internet whilst laying on the couch. LoneSum said that he'd let her know this week how it was. He's been working late every night this week, and as I got a new laptop today I figured I'd answer for him.
It's great. Right now I'm sitting in our bed, writing this. I'm wearing my blue satin leopard print pajamas, having a cup of chamomile tea, watching the BBC in America (waiting for 'Bodies' to come on...any of you who ever wondered just how shitting the National Health Service really is should watch 'Bodies'. It gives great insight into the way things work in the UK)...and I'm blogging. No wires, no nothing. Just me and my laptop.
I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, and I know that this is the third article I've written about this today, but.....I'm almost stupefied at the technology. You have to understand that I came from the generation of electric typewriters and wordprocessors, when computers were still big huge things with green and black screens. Windows were something we opened when we wanted to let fresh air into our homes, they had nothing to do with computers. That I can sit in my bed, not connected to a telephone or and electrical outlet, with no wires or antennas...that I can sit here like this and visit web sites, send and recieve email, post articles to my blog....that's huge to me. H-U-G-E.
So anyway, Tex...if you get the chance to go wifi, I highly recommend it. It's fab.
Just fan-freakin-tastic.
