it's heeerrrre!

I'm writing this fromm the middle of my living room floor.

My new laptop is here and I'm uploading Konfabulator so I can download some widgets. I'm also checking out all the features this laptop has got that our desktop doesn't.

This mouse is going to take some getting used to, as is the keyboard....but those are small things and I'm sure I'll get used to them after a few hours.

I got me a Dell, dude! How schweet is that??!! HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

(yeah, I know. I'm a geek)

I had a laptop at one point in time. Drove me nuts... I couldn't type on it... had to hook up a mouse (couldnt' stand that little pad thingy). I think if I'd stuck with it long enough I'd have gotten used to it. I just don't do change well.

I played around with Dave's on Monday and found that after half an hour or so I started to get used to the keyboard and mouse. I can get a mini cordless mouse if I really don't like the pad...but I'm already getting the hang of it.

So far, I'm a VERY happy camper. VERY.

My husband rawks..it was his idea that I get one. So, LoneSum...thank you SO much! This is the nicest thing you've ever got for me, and it more than makes up for the vacuum cleaner you got me our first Christmas together. I love you...

Hmmm... I REALLY have to get my wireless AP to talk to the DHCP server in the switch/router.

And they're both Belkins!!

Just haven't got the time to fiddle w/ it.

Cool, congrats.

I'll tell you an easy way to get the hang of the mouse. Get some mahjong or solitaire or other clickety-click-click game and play it. You'll get good with it really fast.

... My ex used to love giving me appliances as gifts, even though I begged my friends to let him know that they are NOT gift material. What a pain. Thankfully, Joel got this right from the beginning. If it's something that is supposed to point me in the direction of housework? It's NOT a gift.

He's actually VERY good at selecting gifts and making occasions memorable. How many other women celebrate WAMA Day? Yep... created a holiday just for ME. He's a keeper!

Dave learned very quickly that that's NOT the way to do things. He hasn't got me an appliance for my birthday of for Christmas since. Smart man.
