This is Henry:

Henry hates our 'shark' steam cleaner.  I had it out this afternoon, spot cleaning the carpet and upholstery.  The steam that comes out of it isn't hot; I can plce my hand in front of it comfortably...it just makes a hissing noise that drives him wild

This is Henry trying to 'get' the steam and getting a little irate in the process.

hehehehe...that's a pissed off weiner dog!!!!!

Those are good. Thanks. I needed that laugh.

Reminds me of the dachshund we when I was growing up. He would alternate between being a coward (deathly afraid of the vacuum cleaner) and protective hound (attacking the vacuum to "defend us"). It made us laugh really hard, sometimes.

I miss him.

Ours does the same thing! he HATES the vacuum cleaner MORE than he hates the 'shark'!! Snarls at it and tries to bite the rubber around the edges of it, but when we push it woards him he tucks tail and runs away! it's hilarious!!!

Hilarious pics, dharma. He's a feisty little one, isn't he?

PS - Did your housing come with carpet or did you guys put that in? Either way, I'm jealous, hehe.

Don't be!  It's a 12' x 12' square that we got at the thrift store for $20 last October, and it really needs cleaned.  I haven't been able to use the steam cleaner for ages and I can't rely on Dave to do it...so I think that as soon as this back brace comes off, I'm getting a rug doctor for the day and I'm giving it a really good clean.  The rest of the house is crappy military tiling that's freezing cold in the winter.

Yeah, but he can be a baby too.  One word from Dave and he's tucking his tail and showing his belly.

He has these 'funny half hours' where he just freaks out and runs a big circle through the house, barking and panting.  It's usually after the cat's popped him or I've run the vacuum cleaner....it's really quite funny to watch!

We have some friends that live out on Helemano who have carpeting in their upstairs. Very nice. Our floors are that crappy tile, and I can't keep the red Hawaiian dirt off of them. It's a losing battle.

We do have rugs in the living room, dining room, and bedrooms. Makes it seem a little bit more homey.

$20 is a great deal for a chunk of carpet that big! It looks great to me, hehe. I'm not fancy.

Sometimes stuff like that can be sooo satisfying!

Haha...he's adorable.

He looks like the runaway bride in the first pic.

Huh?

HAHAHA!

Great Pics!

Thanks!  He did really well today...usually I get the camera out and he goes all stiff and won't do much of anything.

Yes, it can.  there's nothing quite like getting your house clean.  As a matter of fact, I think that I'm going to clean tomorrow.  Vent a few frustrations on my bathtub and floors...

Neither am I.  Any rug is better than no rug, IMO.

Hehe. Nice catch, Iconoclast.

BTW...is there some holiday going on that I don't know about? Google has cake and confetti.

Think it's Google's birthday ... wasn't it this time last year that they did the initial IPO? Er, nope. Googled it () and that was back the middle of August ... birthday of one of the officers in Google? Dunno.

Great looking Dog there Dharma, Reminds me of my mini-beagle at my moms house. When I was about 14, we got him and I was thinking at that time that my top three dog choices were:
1. Beagle
2. Bassett
3. Dachshund

Hmmm... top dog choices...

3. German Shepard (or mix)
2. Dachshund
1. Cat

Off the subject of the doggie (very cute) the Shark steam cleaner is a life saver. Nothing better for cleaning the seams in the shower and the grout tile.
