This is the third night in a row that I've been unable to sleep.

This is ridiculous.  I can't function on 3 and a half hours of sleep every night.

I have a cold, I feel like crap, and I need to get some rest...but that's proving impossible.

I'll just haunt the forums here at JU and see who else is around at this time of night....

I am...11:51 here...trying to finish up some paperwork and looking at some JU articles in between it all (I shouldn't be doing something that distracts me, but...need to rest my brain for a bit now and then). I am unfortunately a night owl...early for me is going to bed at 11:30 (although I hope to hit the sack in the next half hour or so).

Early for me is 9pm....on average I got to bed around 10pm.  it's just past 1 am here, so I really am up late!

See, that's a great sleep schedule there...It's not good for me to be up this late! I always say I am going to improve my sleeping habits, but I have yet to do it regularly...maybe someday (or I should say some night).

Hope you have a restful sleep soon!

Hope whatever the problem is gets better!  It might be old age, as I usually dont get more than 3-4 hours of sleep a night normally.

You aren't being weened off the pain meds, are you? That causes it sometimes. The best thing to do is just to sleep when you get tired. If you get tired in the middle of the day, take a nap. It isn't as good of sleep, but it is sleep. Eventually, you'll get it turned back around.

I worked nights for 12 years. You have no idea the hell it has been regulating my sleep. I still don't have it. One thing I learned, though. SCREW people who think you are lazy for taking a nap or sleeping during the day. I lost, literally, years living in a haze because I didn't want to appear lazy. Life without sleep isn't living.

Well at least it's not just me...

I think it's because I have a cold.

Nope...like I said, I think it's because I have a cold.  I don't sleep well at the best of times, but right now it's hard to breathe an my nose keeps running...

I took your advice and went back to bed after the kids had gone to school.  I slept for 2 hours...and it was a decent, solid sleep too!  I'm feeling more human again, But i'm still a bit fuzzy,....

I just don't sleep. Hit the hay maybe 3 am, earlier if I'm lucky and can sleep, up by 7 am, and no naps. My kids are to small to let me nap, and now I'm babysitting for friend. UG
I feel your sleepless pain.

I have difficulties sleeping, too. I don't generally have problems falling asleep as much as I do staying asleep.

Yuck... a cold already? I'm dreading the next month or so. I'm sure Kole's going to bring some germ home now that she's back at school.

Take care, my friend.

I'm sorry. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

I don't generally have problems falling asleep as much as I do staying asleep.

With me, it's both. Sometimes it's falling asleep I have an issue with. other times it's the staying asleep that I can't manage. Occasionally (and thank god this is very rare) I can neither fall asleep not stay asleep. It's nights like that that kick my ass for days....
