I strolled on up to the legal office this morning.  I haven't been up there since before the surgery, so my visit was long overdue.

I miss the people that work there.  I miss the camraderie, the company.  Being around them again really brought home to me how much I missed working there.  Talking to R (the attorney I was warking for before I left to have surgery) and J (another attorney) and D and S.....it was great.  I felt needed and wanted and valuable for ME, myself - not as Shea, Davey and Jake's mom or TSgt Right Said's wife.

So I asked if I could go back a couple of days a week.  Just one morning and one afternoon to start with, maybe building up to longer depending on how much stuff the cop squadron will have for me to do.

The NCOIC said yes, that he'd love to have me help with wills on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for an hour or so each day.  I don't want to get too embedded up there because I don't know how reliable I can be as yet, but I DO want to go back to working there.

So, next Tuesday morning I'm suiting up (that's going to look odd with my back brace) and I'm going to go help some people get their affairs in order by witnessing or Notarizing their wills.

I'm REALLY looking forward to it.
