Why is it that when you're really, really tired and for once you NEED to sleep....you can't?

Why is it that when you're really really tired and have finally managed to drag yourself to  the edge of a big, black, comfortable pit of sleep...the phone rings and yanks you back into cold harsh reality again?

Why is it that the one time in the past 3 weeks that you're not 'in the mood' just happens to be the day that your husband comes home feeling particularly frisky?

Why is it that the one time you go to the store bare-faced,  bra-less and in your pajama bottoms is the one time your current crush walks up to you as you're getting coffee and asks how you're doing?

And finally.....why is it that the one time your husband actually comes through for you and gets the morning off to take you to your doctor's appointment said doctor gets called into emergency surgery and you have to reschedule for next week...on a day that your husband has a prior engagement?

Why is that?  Does anybody know?

I think it's because there are vastly more ways for things to go wrong as opposed to the very few ways for things to go right. It's a wonder we ever get any sleep or get laid or look good at the appropriate time or our appointments are met. I guess we should be thankful when we do.

Shovel...I was trying to be more humorous than serious.  It probably didn't come across well because I'm so gosh dang tired....

Dharma.

I can sympathize!

Why is it that I get an abcess on the friday night before a 3 day weekend?  Why is it that as I take my wife's car in to the shop on that monday afternoon of that 3 day weekend, Mine then breaks down on the way home?  Why is it I call my dentist on that tuesday with no car and no way to get to him with a jaw that a chipmunk gets jealous of?

because:  I can call my aunt to take me to the dentist and sit through the exam and take me to the pharmacy for the prescription.

Because: I can call upon my neighbor to take me to pick up my now repaired car.

because: I did not need to eat that weekend!  Lost 15 pounds

because: My wife could call a co-worker and get picked up.

Notice a pattern here?  I think it is god telling us (or in your case Karma) we are not alone and there are a lot of good people out there to help us.  If we only ask.

And beholden?  Sure!  But then I fixed my Aunt's computer, provided my Generator to my neighbor during Gaston, and loaned a printer to my wife's co-worker after isabel took out their office for 14 days.

And the soup diet?  Guess I just needed that for myself!

I know.  YOUR plans are coming together though....yay for you!!

Ask Murphy, he knows, lol.

That bastard's never around when you need him, and when you don't need him....he's all over the place.

*sob* ooh, you made me cry, you rotten man!  Hehehe....I'm kidding.  I DID rest, I got a nice hour and a half nap in and after I get done here I'm going to go and knit on the couch.

It never fails dharma, it just is....

Exactly.

me too, Dharma

See, I told you I was tired!

I have a belief in a divine being, DG.  If you want to call it god, then I'm cool with that....and yeah, I do see a pattern.

Ahem. hee hee hee. Just don't eat buttered bread till it wears off!

No worries, I'm staying well away from that...and anything electrical, mechanical or hot.

Guess sometimes we just need to ask for help.  Whoever is out there, just wants us to know that we are not alone, and we are loved.

I know exactly why. Its because of Mondays. I know, you might be thinking I've gone mad, but bear with me.

I'm sure you've had Mondays where nothing bad has happened or gone wrong. Well the Monday curse saves itself for when you least expect it, like being at the shops when you're dressed in your pyjama bottoms or when you need the car to start and it has a flat battery. Or how about the time you're running late for an appointment and the bus you have to catch is also running late.

Yeah, blame Mondays. At least it might make you feel a little better.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Cheers,

Maso
