I got an email from England over the weekend with a suggestion in it.  I opened the British paper this morning, and there was an article about the email I had recieved. Link

Put an 'In Case of Emergency' number on your cell phone's phone book.  The number of someone you trust, they don't have to be related to you...just someone who knows you and who knows that you have them listed as your emergency contact.

Ever since I had a bad car accident a couple of years ago I've carried a slip of paper in my purse with my  emergency contacts on it.  I have another one on the glove box of both my car and my Jeep....it just never occured to me to put one on my cell phone.

ICE your cell phone.  I'm ICE-ing mine right now.

Already done, but good on you for letting the folks here at JU know. You can never have enough contact details, particularly in times of emergencies.

Great idea. Thanks

Welcome!

What a great idea!! who would ever think to do it?

Not me.  Not until this weekend, anyway.

You can never have enough contact details, particularly in times of emergencies.

Tell me about it.  I started wondering what would have happened had I not been in any condition to call anyone and tell them to get my kids from school after the accident....it would have been bad.  Very bad.

On my cell phone there are slots for people's home, work and cell numbers, so under ICE I put my in-laws, D's cell and our home number.  I figure somene is bound to be around at ONE of them...

EXCELLENT!!

It is rather good, huh?

I've never felt important enough to own a cell phone, lol. But if I ever do, I'll be sure to ICE it.

Awww!

Hmmm...not a bad idea.  My wife is #1 on my cell, but it would not hurt to label it ICE.

D's on mine in a couple of places, but if someone were to find me and my cell they'd have no idea of who he is.  Creating an ICE label just makes other people's lives easier should something bad happen.
