I can get fixed!  I can get fixed!!!!

I'm having a anterior spinal fusion surgery done, probably the first week or so of July.  I see the general surgeon on June 30th - because they're going through my belly the general surgeon has to tag team the neuro surgeon and clear the way to my spine, so to speak.

2 titanium rods, a few screws, and some bone harvested from my hip...and he said he was 90% certain that I'd be almost good as new afterwards!

I got fitted for my brace today, I'm getting a bone density scan done tomorrow, and we're starting the process to bring my husband home at the end of the month.

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts, JU.  Thank you so much.....I'm so happy right now, so content...because I have an end to the painful journey of the past 2 years in sight.

I'm getting fixed!

I know I don't pop in as much as I used to, but good luck.

Personally, I'm holding out for some cyborg parts. Mmmm, electronics...

Hell no, you don't! You never come by to see me any more....makes me think you don't love me no more or somethin'....*sniff*....(I'm kidding!!)  How in the hell are you, anyway?

Actually, I'm getting some electronic parts - sort of, anyway.  I get a bone growth stimulator.  I'm not sure if it's internal or external...but either way, it's 'borg-esque.

You can start calling me 'three of eleven' now if you like...

Working, mostly. Nothing like a two-hour commute by public transportation each way to take time out of your day. Good thing they pay me well.

And that's awesome. They've got all sorts of neat things out, actually. Power suits, curing paralysis with stem cells. Interesting times we live in.
