Yes, I'm doing it again.
I'm interrupting the flow of oh so important articles about politics and current events to talk about an appliance. If you don't like reading about such things, I suggest you not read any further...
I got me a new toy today.
I got a Dirt Devil Floor Keeper. I saw it at the BX, and it was marked down a whole bunch......it usually retails for $99.99, but I got it for $35.
It's worth the $100, believe me. This thing is fantastic.
I have a lot of tiled floor in my house, and I have a heck of a time keeping it clean. Between the dog, the cat, and three kids it always seems to be grimy or dingy. I sweep it, I swiffer it, then I mop it daily, and every once in while I'll get down on my hand and knees with a scrub brush to give it a deep down cleaning. Doing all that plays havoc with my back, so I've been on the lookout for something that would make keeping my floors clean a little easier.
The Floor Keeper is the thing I've been looking for. It vacums up the dry debris first, then you change modes and it squirts a hot water cleaning solution onto the floor, scrubs it with a rotating brush, and then sucks up the dirty water. It even has a squeegee on the front that works really well...my floors were almost bone dry less than 5 mins after I got done cleaning them with this Floor Keeper.
There's a lot less bending and lifing for me with this contraption. I also know that I'm not just slopping dirty water around on the floor like I do with a mop and bucket. I've eliminated a bunch of steps, I'm saving a lot of time, and best of all...it's easy on my back.
I cleaning the kitchen, dining room and foyer floors with it this afternoon. Tomorrow I'm having the kids pick up the throw rugs in their rooms and bathroom, and I'm cleaning the bedrooms, the bathrooms, and the hallway floors. I actually WANT to go clean floors now - that's nothing less than a miracle, because I used to detest doing it.
I'm digging my Floor Keeper....I'd highly recommend it to anyone!
