I don't know what I'm doing...!

I bought a ham for this weekend's Sunday lunch, but I don't know how to cook it.  I've never baked a ham before.

I know that I'm supposed to glaze it, but I'm not sure with what.  Some people have suggested cola, some brown sugar, others pineapple and one person said maple syrup.

Also, what are appropriate side dishes for ham?  I was thinking about a potato salad and some green beans.....or maybe baked potatoes and corn?

Any and all suggestions are welcomed and much appreciated.  I've emptied my blacklist, btw....so absolutely everyone is welcome to come and leave me an idea for a glaze, instructions on how to cook this hunk of pig that I've got sitting in my fridge, or suggested side dishes.

Thanks, JU!!

I'm making a leg of lamb butterflied with a spinach-mint stuffing. I have the recipe to cook it but don't know what would be best to serve it with. Also, if anyone has any tricks with lamb I would appreciate it since I have never cooked lamb before. I am thinking green beans almondine and rosemary roasted potato wedges.

I had a marinade to die for! I will try to find it. My Ex took it (even tho it was mine, but then she kept everything of mine except........... Check another blog for the answer).

I love Lamb! It is sweeter than pork, beef or chicken!

Alright, When you decide how you are going to cook the ham, I would also make baked potatoes. What is your husbands favorite vegtable, you could make that for him. Well have fun

Well, any time you feel like a change of pace, bring yourself on out to see

He's not here.  He's in the middle east, living in a tent, shitting in a port-a-potty and sweltering under 30lbs of kevlar in 100 degree heat.  If he were here....he'd want corn on the cob.
