I don't know quite what happened last night, but I couldn't access JU.  I kept getting an error message, which sometimes happens when I try to access my page.  Usually I can go straight to the main page and get on with no problems...but this time I got an error message that told me JU didn't exist.

This problem persisted until this afternoon, actually until a few minutes ago when I finally got JU to come up.  I know that this place has been a bit buggy of late, but this was something new for me.

Am I the only one this happened to, or did anyone else have the same problem?

Hey D! ..
No it happened to me as well.. I was in the middle of posting an article and then bang,.. an error message came up and for the whole day there was no JU.
Does this mean that things are going horribly wrong here or are resources being channeled elsewhere? It's happening at an increasing rate.
Im thinking if it continues Im going to move onto blogspot.

Mine was down too...I had just finished a HUGE article, and now I have to retype it.

me too, startin' last night...

I noticed the downness too, starting sometime yesterday evening. For those of you that were typing articles and lost them, you could type the article elsewhere and then cut and paste into the web browser. That way if something goes wrong with joeuser you still have the article. I do wonder why the servers were acting funny, maybe an admin type person could give us a report...

It was the Aliens!  I suspect the server was just down, and since it was Sunday......

WinCustomize has an administrative message up saying all StarDock websites will be down tomorrow while they change servers from a half rack to a full rack (or some such). I don't know whether preps for that had anything to do with this, they took it down to play with something else, or it crashed all on its little lonesome.

It would be nice if they'd notify us lowly, non-paying peons over here, too, no?

File this under Silly StarDock Tricks:

Most of time when JU is down you can still look at JU messages through WC's forum interface (and probably the interfaces of other StarDock sites, though I haven't tried it) if you know the Article ID numbers. (For this article it is 69271.)

Bookmark this: https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?AID=

Then fill in the Article ID number. To read this article through WinCustomize, you'd go to: https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?AID=69271

That way you can still read, edit, and comment on articles. I've done that before to read new comments when I've been alerted to them but JU's been down.

I was not able to acess JoeU this morning either...

So it wasn't just me then!

My message was a bit different, though. It said my connection was refused. Then, this afternoon, I thought I'd try again and surprise! JU was back.

That's what I got with Firefox. It scared me, I thought that I'd been banned and no-one had told me abut it! LOL

Ooh, i missed the panic, but i'll take Danny's advice. I'll type somewhere else and then copy and paste on JU. I lost a comment once and was pretty frustrated, so i can understand what NJForever felt after losing the article!

I just finished it...it took me a long time though. It's not exactly the same, but close enough.

It's very on-and-off right now. I have to reload a blog page several times to get it to open.
