...but not for as long as you might think.

Charles Graner's been sentenced to 10 years in prison for what he did at Abu Ghraib.

Because of the length of his sentence, he's going to be transferred to Ft Leavenworth to the military brig there to serve his time.

Leavenworth's not a nice place to be.  It's the largest military prison...it's where the worst of the worst get sent.

There's a pecking order in prisons, as anyone who's either done time or worked in a facility can tell you, and Leavenworth is no different.  Usually it's the pedophiles and geriatric bashers at the bottom of the 'rank' structure....but those at the top if the food chain don't like 'famous' criminals either.  They feel an inherent need to put such people in their place, to let them know that this is their 'house' and that they're in charge.

Private Graner (he got his rank reduced too) is a 'famous' criminal as far as they're concerned.  I have a feeling that he's going to be in segregation for a tad longer than you average lag, and when he does get to mingle with the general populous, he's going to need to watch his back (and his ass)

His mother said he was scared at the prospect of doing time.  I think he ought to be scared witless.

Oh, and 10 years doesn't mean 10 years.  Military prisoners get time off for good behaviour as well.  If Chuck can keep his nose clean, he'll most likely do 5 1/2 to 6.

6 years is still a long time though.....especially when you know you're one of the most hated prisoners in the facility.

Good, lock him up! I am sure he will feel the humiliation that he gave to others..... Hopefully ten-fold!
