As an act of goodwill, I have decided to rescind my decision to allow only registered users to respond on my blog.  It's open for all....anyone who wishes to comment may do so.

I have made my peace with those I formerly described as trolls, and they are welcome here.

I stand by my 'zero tolerance' policy....any troll-esque remarks will still be deleted, but I honestly don't expect too many now.

May 2005 usher in a new era of understanding and mutual respect.  Let's all try and keep it civilized, shall we?

Good move! Let us hope 2005 will be a year of peace all over the world...even here on JU.
I am not prepared to open my blogs to unregistered users, mainly because of the uninvited spammers... but also not until the "trolls", as you call them , make a public apology to me for their blatant nastiness.

I think thats a great idea Dharma. One of the things that makes JU so great is the sense of community and how people can interact so easily, unfortunately that often appears to be our downfall too. Here's to peaceful times, happy new year Dharma.

Peace be with you, Dharma. And, peace be with the rest of the world. Wouldn't that be wonderful? ---sigh-------------

Thanks, Mano.

I know how hard it is, I struggle with it every day.  I'm trying to change for the better...some may say I am setting myself up for failure, but I have to try.  If I didn't try...well, that in itself would be defeatist, and that's one thng I am not.

Good Luck for 2005 Dharma

Wow...thanks, Muggaz!

That's the best advice you could have given me right now.....it's just a freakin' blog!

Happy New Year Dharma. I'm glad you decided to let up on the no replies from non-users. I started out here lurking and occasioanally replying, and eventually joined, and it's been a good experience for me. Your site was one of the ones that inspired me to give this a shot myself. You may yet inspire others to do the same. Remember also you have a large group of fans who are more than willing to regulate on someone if they give you any shit. Thanks again for the link from your site.

2005 finds me no less cynical so I still don't allow non-registered users on my blog.  I just don't have the energy and know myself well enough that I don't just delete nasty comments and move on.  I dwell so therefore, I avoid it all together.

Best wishes for you and yours for 2005 and ever after.

I thought to leave something horrid here, but then thought better of it.

So.

And that's that.
