My husband got himself a blogging ID a few months back.  He did it so that he could respond to my articles when he was in the Arctic and I was in the US...it was another method of communication for us.

Since he got back, he hasn't used it.

I'm trying to persuade him to start.  I think that there are some fabulous folks here, people that he'd do really well with.  I think that he's incredibly intelligent and that more than a few people here would be interested in what he has to say.

He says he doesn't want to intrude, that blogging is my gig and he doesn't want to step in and outshine me.  I keep telling him that this isn't a contest, that there's room for everyone...but he's still putting me off.

I think, however, that he's weakening.  I hinted this evening that his getting more involved in the JU scene would make me really happy.....and he said something about thinking about it.

Keep your fingers crossed, JU......and in the meantime, will you leave him some comments of encouragement?  We'll see if those work......perhaps if he feels like he's already been welcomed he'll be more apt to come blog with us.....

Hey Dharma...
this is a message for Dave...

Hey Dave.. Come blog with us! Ive made a really good friend in Karen and she has really helped me when Ive been going through some hard times recently. You have a really beautiful intelligent wife there (im sure you know that already) but mate it would be really great to get to know you as well and to understand more about you and why you are the love of Karens life. We hear about you and you going away and stuff but it would be really great if we could hear about your thoughts on whats happening with you, and while your away maybe to get to understand what is going on as well. So Dave come blog with us and share with us the other side to one of the most amazingly beautiful couples I know.!!

It is a contest, to see who can have the most fun blogging, and if you don't play, haha, you've already lost
or won something else, the rare and elusive 'free time', whatever that is...

Woohoo! Come join the fun Dave! I enjoyed reading your posts back "in the day". I find it fascinating to have spouses on here (I am working on my wife). We'd love to read more of what you have to offer.

I'm late to the dance, but I'd like to see him start up a blog, too. I think that he'd have some great posts.

Point out Adrian's blog to him. While I know you'd prefer not to think about it now, it would be a great way for him to stay in touch with people he wouldn't normally contact regularly while he's gone. Heck, I use mine to keep in contact with people now. And I have unlimited long distance on my home phone plan!

Ok, Dave, after Pheonixboi's heartfelt post, how could you say no??

I think it should be time to say, Welcome back!
