This was inspired in part by Greywar's article (Link ) and the varying liberal looney-toon articles that have been popping up around here since Kerry LOST the election.

To all of you who burn and piss on the American flag:  fuck you.  Me and mine sacrifice every fucking day so you can maintain the right to do that.  Not only are you pissing on us, you're pissing on every single person who has ever served this country.

To all of you who are threatening to leave the country:  bye.  I'll be happy to relieve you of your passports and your social security numbers on the way out.  You don't like it here, fucking leave and don't come back.  Perhaps once you've been given a taste of what the rest of the world is like you'll realize just how good you had it here.

To all of you who are whining and bitching about how the election was unfair, or rigged, or how GWB "cheated":  get a fucking grip.  If it was YOUR candidate who had won by that margin you'd be doing naked victory dances...and the crap your boy and his clowns pulled in the last few days of the campaign left a lot to be desired.

To all of you who call conservatives, repulicans and the majority of the American voting public 'morons', 'sheep', rednecks', 'idiots', etc etc: perhaps you should take a look at yourselves before you start passing judgement on anyone else.  I could say the same about YOU......I mean, who in their right mind would believe anything a fat, aging, mediocre (at best) documentary maker says?

There's more, but I'm too pissed to write it down.

I love this country.

That's all I have to say.

DAMN STRAIGHT!

*in best Elvis Presly voice*  thank you...thank you very much...

I'm sick oif hearing about what the exit polls said.  I'm sick of hearing 'but there were X% of registered Democrats and we only got X% of the vote...'....well, d'ya ever stop to think that exit polls are wrong and have a history of being wrong?  That perhps, although people were registered as affiliated to one party, they voted the other way?  Because, in part of the fucked-upness that has been displayed by the Dems in this campaign?

Hopefully they'll keep this ridiculousness up, and will ultimately scupper thier chances of winning in '08.  The American public has a long memory, all this BS (much like Gore's silliness in '00) won't be forgotten in a hurry.

dharmagirl:

Are you using an argument of patriotism to defend voting irregularities? Let's take the election results out of the equation. GWB won. But for next time, will we allow the same problems that occured, whatever they were, to occur again?

I mean I understand your rant, no problem. But for the sake of the country, this is the 2nd time in a row that the voting got mucked up. Shouldn't there be an attempt at fixing it?

CrispE:

I'm ranting,  plain and simple.  Don't read anything into it.

This has nothing to do with voting irregularities, this has to do with childish attitudes and pettiness.

You do? I don't. Why should Dharma be so pissed? Her man won; she should be celebrating. And why the vile language toward strawmen who harbor ill-will--are they worth the expenditure of bile? True, I have reacted with some satire, but I like to believe that I am trying to explore the whys and wherefores of the results. So, Dharma, calm down and enjoy the victory.

Dharma, I went to the link--very sad. Still, they are just smart ass kids from San Fran, no less. Actually, they should be protesting against their mayor who probably lost millions of votes for Kerry with that marriage spectacle a few month ago--not to mention a few more million lost by Massachusetts' Supreme Court decision. Nonetheless, it's not worth getting upset over bratty kids who should have gone home and reflected over the results and how next time could be better.

Why?  Because I'm tired of hearing how America is so bad, how we are the worst nation in the world....I'm tired of sacrificing daily, yes daily, so that others can say freely how much they hate this country.  I'm tired of people saying lots but doing little....and I'm not talking about big government here.  Each individual has the opportunity to make a difference to their circumstance, and even to the circumstance of others.  if you don't like something, take action on a personal level to change that which pains you - whether that be as drastic as leaving the country altogether, or as simple as volunteering your time to an organization (or even starting your own).

Are the worth the expenditure?  Yes.  Absolutely.  I feel much better now.....
