12 years ago today I was again doing my part for the world population.

Shea Ann made her debut at 1623 on October 17th, 1992.  She decided that she wanted to try coming out one foot and butt first, causing quite a stir amongst the medical staff as she had been head down only a week before.  So, I ended up with an epidural in the OR having a C-Section.  It was the weirdest sensation...I could feel things going on in my belly, but it wasn't exactly painful.  I felt the doctor lift her out of me...I could breathe again!

So, she's 12 today.  Next year she'll officially be a teen, although she has the attitude and physicality already.  She's a straight 'A' student, dilligent, a cross country runner (she's pestering her dad to go run with her), she was just named Student of The Month for the October, she's been on the Honor Roll every year since she was 8, and Shea wants to be an Army Veterinarian when she grows up.

She got 'The Sims 2' for her birthday...and has $55 burning a hole in her pocket.  We're going to IHoP to eat this morning, she's been asking to go there ever since we moved here.

So, Happy Birthday Shea.  May you have mnay more...

Dharma, teach me how to post photo?

Ok, the first thing to ask if whether you have them on your computer.  If you do, then you'll need to find a website to 'host' them on.  I use MSN, it's free!

Next, you move the pictures you want to post to your host site (like MSN).  They have an 'upload' tool, it's all pretty self explanatory.

Once you have transferred your pictures and are ready to post an article, follow these steps:

Click on the picture you want to post from the album.  Once you have that single picture on the screen, right-click on it and select 'properties'.  Highlight and copy the part that says 'Address (URL)', and paste it into the 'Image' block of the article header on your blog. It will insert the URL right into the article for you, and when you post it your picture should show up!

In case you get lost, here's my email address: dharmagirl69@yahoo.com

Let me know if it works!

Karen, congrats on your honor roll student and tell her happy birthday from her cyber-auntie.

Yikes!  I just realized, you will have a teenager next year!

Thanks to you all for your responses and good wishes...Shea is pretty tickled that so many people know it's her birthday today (especially that it was Greywar's kid's birthday yesterday)!

Jill, I'll tell her.....and I know, I'll be mom to a teenager in a year from now.  It's terrifying, to be honest.  I'm not old enough to have a teenager!!!!!!

Can you share the link you use to get there? I've been to msn.com and checked out the photo page, but it tells me that I have to upgrade to msn premium and that costs money. Am I missing the free link? Thanks!

First, happy birthday Shea! Have fun at IHoP!

Secondly, for the pictures thing, you can try using something like Photobucket or ImageShack. The former is a subscription thing, and if you want to post any medium to large pictures, you'll need the premium service. The latter is good for posting one-shot pics instead of whole albums, but I use it all the time for forums and the like. Just Google them, since I don't have the links on this computer.

Chip....try going to MSN groups :http://groups.msn.com/

Vreate yourself a .net passport, and you go from there.  That's how I did it...and I don't store all of my pics on MSN, just the ones that I want to link to. That way I keep my capacity used to a minimum and I don't have to pay.

Zwei: IHoP was okay...slightly busy, but the food was decent.  I'll tell her you said happy birthday!
