I won a bet, and now I get Uggs.

I pointed out a pair of Uggs to Dave when we were shopping the other day. He gave me a funny look and asked me what I'd wear them with. When I said "everything" the look got even funnier and he said that if I could show him another person wearing such god-awful ugly boots he'd buy me some.

This evening, we saw 3 different people on TV wearing Uggs with sweats, jeans and skirts.

So, tomorrow, I get some Uggs. Ha!! hahaha!!!!!

Hmm..should I be traditional and get the tan ones, or a little funky and get pink...?

Dev - Ugg boots are a type of boot lined with sheepskin invented by Australian surfers to keep their feet warm when they got out of the water and walked back up the beach etc.

These days (pre the fad) most Australians would only wear them at night and around the house -- possibly to the shops to get the paper.

Some American bought the name Ugg and copyrighted it so that all Australian manufactuers had to change the names of the boots

They've become really popular in the last 2 years with Celebritys - wearing them with skirts etc

Personally I still think they're slippers and not very attractive ones either.

You're not stupid, I should have specified...they're boots. big, funky, chunky sheepskin boots with fleece on the inside...they're about calf height un-turned down, but you can make them ankle length by turning the top down.

Hey Honey! Go for the Pink ones! You would look great in them, and with winter coming up for you guys your gonna need them.. a good beenie the same coulour would go great as well!

BTW: Miss ya heaps!! and cant wait to chat with ya about whats going on.

We have a store in our town who is being pursued by the american company who copywrited the name Ugg.. they have to now change their store name and everything they have in it.

Ok, I did a search on the net and found out what Uggs are. Yes, they do seem comfy.

Personally I still think they're slippers and not very attractive ones either.

Wellm the ones I saw on the net sure looked nice to me. I think this is one of those things like a Harley Davidson..It's more of a statement than just some outfit.

You have a great husband. I just have to laugh that he would make a bet about shoes with you....didn't he realize that girls notice these things? At least he is living up to his end of the bargin. Have fun and get the pink!

Oh my uggs boots were the best investment i ever made......i wear them all the time....it was awesome in winter going out to clubs and stuff cos i could still wear my little tops but still be warm, cos my feet were covered in fur.....
I got the ones that tie up on the side and i love them!!!!!!!!!!! they are so comfy also........everyone should own a pari of ugg boots!!!!!
