My husband called at 0445 this morning to tell me he'd be home tonight.  Yay!!!  This 'annus horriblis' is almost over!

I'm so glad he's on his way home.  I'm in desperate need of some affection.  I haven't been kissed in 7 months... that's terrible!

Now I'm wondering if I should dress up or not.  Should I go for the casual look and wear jeans and a T shirt, or shall I smarten up a bit and wear pants and heels?  Or, should I wear a dress?  It's a tough decision...after all this will be this first time we've seen each other since the end of January and I want to look nice for him.

Wow...Dave's coming home!  WOW!!!

DharmaGirl:
Congrats!
I haven't seen you but something tell me that you'll look great in a dress. Anyway, you and your husband have a great time?
I'm sure both of you deserve it.

Hope matrimonial duties won't keep you away from JoeUser.

Cheers

Wow...Dave's coming home!  WOW!!!

I TOLD you he'd be home today, didn't I? So there!!

As for what to wear, go with what makes you feel most comfortable. If you don't feel like "you," then the whole homecoming will feel a little stilted.

We won't expect to hear from you tomorrow....

Aww, thanks, Miggy!  You too Olikara!

A dress it is, then.  I have this sweet little halter-top dress that I think I'll wear.

I think I'm going to decorate the garage door...I have some 'welcome home' banners and some balloons.  Dave doesn't usually like a big fuss being made over his return, but this isn't a 'usual' circumstance.  Besides, the kids want to do it for their dad, and I'm not going to deny then that.

I'm so excited!!!!

Yes, you did!  And I'm happy that you were right!

I really like wearing dresses...and Dave has mentioned in the past that he likes the way I look in dresses, so that's what I'm going to wear.

I'll check in tomorrow...I have to make the most of my blogging time now, I'll be deprived for a couple of weeks as of Tuesday!

That sounds great! I bet he'll appreciate it...and you can always lay it all on the kids if he doesn't!

Congrats!  Glad to hear that he will be home!  I'm sure these last few hours will be killer!

I doubt that he'll care what you're wearing   But, the dress does sound like a good choice.  I think a lot of men still prefer to see their women in dresses.  I know my hubby always comments about my dress/skirt when I wear one.  I guess I should wear them more often.

Have fun tonight!

Go with a dress.  Pretty, feminine and easy access   Actually, I bet he wouldn't care if you were wearing a paper sack.  Congrats and best wishes to you.

...exactly what I was thinking.

Seriously, dharma...enjoy your time with your husband (and here's a guy hint: do the banner thing. He may grouse about it, but he'll secretly love it. Grousing is just what we guys do).

Yes, that was my original thought too!  And it's a halter-top dress, so I won't have to wear a bra...less clothing for Dave to have to struggle with!

Thanks for the tip, Gideon.  I think that you're right...

Thank you all for your comments...and for sharing in my joy!

Well, DG, I am very happy for you. It's not the dress you wear that matters, but the fellings you 'wear'. Great, be happy with your life-mate. I amk trying to be happy too. Just wondering why you don't leave any comments on my posts or my comments on yours?
