I would like to dedicate the following quote to my JoeU sisters (and Teresa, you got promoted to sister a while ago, I just don't think I ever told you that).

Women are like tea bags - you don't know how strong they are until they are in hot water

I don't know if it is possible to love people that you have never met, but I will tell you all this:  I consider myself extremely fortunate to have met and interacted with you.  Friendships have been forged here, friendships that I hope will continue, and yes, I do love you, all of you ( and those words don't come easy to me, just ask Dave)

~ Karen (the blogger formerly known as Dharma)

Ohhhh... I know this was meant only to your sisters, but I read it anyway

Karen, I hope you know you are a special person to your "non-family" joe users too. I consider you a friend, and )just ask my hubby) I don't give that title to many.

Janders, I consider you a sister too...I guess I forgot to tell you about that as well, huh?

I too don't have many 'friends'.  Acquaintances I have plenty of, but not too many friends.  You, however, are one of them...my friend, I mean.

Dharma~ You suck(j/k) cause you made me cry a little. Kidding a side, You have really helped me get through some tough time after my daughter died. You helped me in ways no one else did. You are a blessing. we are all lucky to have you!

I love you too, Trina.  yeah, I decided that a couple of people I email with know my real name so to make things less confusing I'd start using it here as well.  Imajinit says he can't call me that, that I'll always be Dharma to him.....!

Janders....thank you.  I don't know what else to say.  I don't think that I did anything spectacuar, I just knew you were in pain and I wanted to help.  Btw, I have my knitting needles and yarn at the ready to start making hats and booties and blankets and stuff for you......just say the word!

Karen, you are a great friend.  You friendship really does mean a lot.....and I hope you move to Ohio!    I am sure Ohio won't quite be like England, though!
on Jun 29, 2004
I'm sure it won't be like England, either, but.....you have to take what you can get, and make the best of it.  The Chief got on to the people making the decisons yesterday, and they promised him, not us, that they'd have a decision by the end of the week.  We all know where I want to go, but whether we get to go there....I dunno.  Hopefully it won't be too much longer now....

Awwwwwwww...thanks sis....and in that case, since my birthday is Monday, I presume the card and present are already in the mail......

As for the rest of the article, I feel the same way about you, and a couple of others on here. I don't get close to others very easily (as you said, ask my darling hubby), but sometimes there is someone with whom you just feel an instant connection....and you are one of those people for me, Karen. If you don't get sent to Ohio, I will be extremely sad....but at least we'll still have the online connection! I love you, Karen!

I don't think I'm a sister either, but I read it anywho... I had a question... am I just blonde, or did other people think your name was really Dharma? I'd considered that it may not be, but thought that it was... hmm

Cute quote all the same.

I'm I your JoeU sister?? hmm.. I was wondering when Davey and I talked a couple of days ago he said he was Karen's son Davey, and I had to think a minute, and then it hit me that Karen was your real name. lol... I'm blonde sometimes.

Awww, Teresa...we're having a blub fest here, you made me all teary! Geez, if we're like this stone cold sober can you imagine what we'd be like when we're tipsy?!  "I luuurrrvvv yeeewww, mannnn!"

The card..well, I'd have to have your address in order to seen you one!  I'll send you an e-card instead... I too have felt an instant connection with you, and other people here as well.  I'm so desperately hoping that we get orders to Wright Patterson....if not there, than at least somewhere close enough to where we can get together for the occasional holiday etc.

Sarah, you're in the circle that is the JoeU sisterhood......and ues, some people really did think that my name was Dharma.

Davey thinks you're cool, Emma!  he said "You mean the people you talk to on your blog are real people?  That's cool!  Can I have a blog?"

on Jun 29, 2004
Yay! That's so cute! He is such a nice kid. I liked talking to him. He seemed to think it was just great that I liked games. *shrugs* I can't help myself, I'm a kid at heart. Emma

Sorry I'm late to the blub-fest--I've been on vacation this week, which means a vacation away from Joe User--but I thought I'd sneak a peak. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you...this friday or else I will call up the people making the decisions and pitch a hissy fit!

Keep us posted, and remember, I've always got a spare shoulder reserved for crying on when ever you need it!

Wow, shades and I have a lot in common.  I just got back from vacation too.

This was very sweet and I have to admit I found myself thinking about you while on vacation.

You're an awesome sis and I like looking up to you.  Smooches
