My kids got some of that Shrek 'Crazy Hair' candy today.  Shea got the 'sour green tamarind' flavor.

I tried it.  It's gross.  If you've ever eaten Bertie Botts every flavor jelly beans, imagine chewing a vomit and booger flavor one at the same time and then you have an idea of what this stuff tastes like.

It was so gross it made me gag and I had to spit it out and then rinse my mouth out.  Yukky.  Very yukky.

I'm going to go eat some chocolate now to see if I can get rid of the taste......

should have just started on the chocolate in the first place...what I wouldn't do for a nice Cadbury whole nut chocolate bar right now! Hmm...now I'm hungry!

I have some 'Roast Almond' and some 'Fruti and Nut' in the cabinet.  You can get it at Wal-Mart here, for a dollar a bar.  $5 gets me my fix for a week or so.......

Is it the same though? I thought Cadbury over here was made my Hershy--but if you'll endorse it, I'm on my way to Walmart tonight...it makes sense, Walmart just bought out Aldo--it's weird going into the grocery store over there and seeing the happy rollback faces! A little too much sharing of cultures if you ask me!

Yes, it's the same, as far as my taste buds can tell.  I dislike Hershey chocolate with a passion, it's too waxy.  This Cadbury's is much creamier...very yummylicious.

Yuk, that sounds really nasty, will definately be avoiding that stuff. Cadbury's is absolutely gorgeous, way way better than Hershey's. It's sooooogood. mmmmmm...I found it in Publix down in Florida .

No way. Hershey's rules! It's the Great American Chocolate bar. Some people just aren't up for it. Hershey's with almonds is as good as it gets.

Cadbury is obviously lower in cocoa and higher in fat and sugar. It's like starter chocolate, strictly for babies.

Does Cadbury have it's own amusement park? Didn't think so.

Actually, they have the British version at the Cadbury factory in Birmingham, England. An amusement park does not good chocolate make, you know. I'd have to say that I think that Hershey's is the starter chocolate, good if you like waxy bitterness. Cadbury's is more of a conniseur's chocolate.

Sorry Dharma--didn't mean to turn your blog into a debate on the merit of Cadbury vs. Hershy...

but we are in complete agreement...Cadbury is a far superior form of chocolaty goodness!

sorry for the double post

It's ok, I'm actually enjoying it!

Anyone who considers Hershey to be superior has either 1) not tasted Cadbury's or 2) has defective tastebuds.

Cadbury's is much better than Hershey's. Much better. . . I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. . .

I bought the Bertie Botts beans for the English class that I was teaching near the end of school, we were reading the Harry Potter books and I thought the kids would like the beans, well they didn't so I got stuck with all these beans, I ate them, every day for about 2 weeks. You become Immune to their nasty taste. I don't look at them now without cringing. So I know what your talking about when you say they Shrek Crazy Hair Candy is gross.

I'm glad you have an idea of how it tastes, Emma!  It's truly yukky.  My newly 8 -year-old Jake said it tastes "worse than liver and onions", so you know it has to be particularly bad for a kid to say that!

lol Yeah, I'm really tempted to take the baby and run to the store to get some. I want to see how bad it actually is. But I'm thinking I better take your word for it.

It's very, very nasty.  Trust me.  Are you nursing?  Because I sure wouldn't want your Alysia getting any of it passed on to her!
