Your heaviness upon my hips

Legs and arms entwined

Stinging sweat upon my lips

Your fingertips divine.

No words aloud, just sound and breath

Your mouth upon my skin

My face pressed hard into your chest

Taking you all in.

I thought that you'd get it, wolf-man.

11 weeks and a few days.

I hope it passes quickly for you dharmagrl. That was great to read.

It is passing quickly, Dev. Not long now.

Thank-you for the compliments, both of you!

...if I knew what flight he's on I'd prob'ly be able to tell you!

I'm not really that obsessed with his return....it's just been a long, long year and I'm ready for it to be over and for the next phase to begin.

did he ever send you that shirt he promised

Not yet, no.

However, he reads my blog so perhaps this will guilt him into sending me one...

Hang in there Dharma ..think how truly wonderful it will be.

I admire you greatly for coping with such a long separation so well.

My heart ached for you when I read that beautiful poem.  The longing must be unbearable at night when things get quiet and you have the time to realize how much you miss him.  I too hope you have a speedy Summer.

That is one of the most profound things I've heard in ages...thank you, Jill.  Yes, the night are the worst..when the busy-ness of the day has ebbed away, the kids are all settled and asleep and I have time to reflect..that's when it hits me.  That's when I fall asleep clutching a pillow that has his shirt on it, remembering....

Funnily enough, Dave said the same thing after he read the poem.
