I'm pierced (again):

That's the best shot I could get; I had to take it myself.  Once Dave comes home I'll get him to take a better shot, but this one will do for now.

Wow, that's....ummm....so how's the knitting coming along?

Just kidding. Cool.

Holy ouch.

That's all I have to say.

It sure looks cool, though.

I agree - looks ouch!

Just kidding. Cool.

Actually, the knitting is coming along really well.  I'm using Noro Kureyon and I'm making a scarf that uses short rows and wraps & turns to make semi-circular shapes.  It's really pretty!

Holy ouch

Nah, it wasn't too bad.  No worse than getting blood drawn.  Mind you, I do have a high tolerance for pain...

It sure looks cool, though

Thank you, I agree!

It really wasn't that bad.  It's throbbing a bit now, and I'm sure tonight will be interesting...but it really wasn't and isn't that bad.

I like it.

Do they have use different sizes based on different people based on the width of that part of their ear?

I am so allergic to metal that I could never do that, but it looks awesome. Has Dave seen it yet?

It looks good! I have always heard that cartiliginous piercings hurt worse but it doesn't look irritated at all. Take good care of it.

It actually looks better than I thought it would.  Maybe it was the hair over the ear in the other picture...made me think "pubic" heh, not attractive.

Your picture looks better than that one.  They should use your shot instead of the pubic over the ear one.

I'm glad you were able to get it, and I agree with Geezer, it doesn't look irritated at all. I'm sure you're excited about it.

I don't mind things like blood draws and it's not like I want piercings anyway... but it seems like every body part that you could get pierced would be *really* sensitive (for me, at least). Yowch is right.

Yes.  Nikki measure my ear with callipers to determine what size bar to use...and then she decided to use a slightly biger (1/8" bigger) one so that I'd have plenty of room to swell.

Has Dave seen it yet?

Yes.  He said "It doesn't look too bad" which is about as close to "looks great! I love it!" as I'm going to get from him.

It hurt less than some of my other piercings, which surprised me.

Your picture looks better than that one. They should use your shot instead of the pubic over the ear one.

hehe....yeah, it's not the best photo, is it?  I'll send my photo and story into BME, which is where I saw the photo at.

Trust me, getting pierced isn't as bad as you think.  People think that getting your tongue pierced is bad because they bite their tongue and it hurts like a mofo, but getting it pierced isn't as bad as that.

fantastic! I love it!

Thank you!

Men get pierced too!  I've seen guys with more piercings than you can shake a stick at!
