I have to take my kids to the military equivalent of social services today. Someone called in a neglect report last week and said that I leave them alone in the house in the mornings when I go off to work.

That's odd, seeing as I don't have a job. Apparently, I leave for work at 0645, Shea leaves at 0700, and the boys are alone in the house until 0740. Like I said, I don't work, so around that time in the morning I'm usually here, on the computer, e-mailing Dave and reading the paper whilst the kids are showering and getting ready for school.

So, today I have to go try and prove that I don't work, don't have a job, and am not neglecting my children by leaving them alone in the mornings.. My kids are going to have to go with me and be interviewed as well, and I'm really unhappy about that. They're the innocents in all of this, they don't deserve to have to go through this BS. Whilst everyone who has heard about what's going on has agreed that it's all lies, we still have to go, just as a formaility.

Oh, and the person who is doing all this is the same person who called my husband right after I had the vehicle accident last year and told him that I was screwing someone else in our bed. I had 7 broken ribs, a broken collar bone and shoulder blade, pulmonary and cardiac contusions, a dislocated shoulder and torn ligaments in my neck...but I was still fucking someone else.

I'm beginning to feel the first stirings of anger now. I had, for a fleeting moment, a great desire to go smack the shit out of the accuser last night. I didn't, and I won't; doing so will only create more problems for me.

But I am about at the end of my tether.

She's 20.

Good luck with everything, and hopefully the bitch will stop harassing you after she realizes that she and her husband can face some serious trouble.

I hope so too, but I doubt it. Unfortunately, I'll just have to endure the 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune' in this neighborhood for another 15 weeks. I am, however, going to do something naughty. I usually park my car in the driveway, but tonight , after dark and when I'm sure no-one's around, I'm going to pull it into the garage and close the door. I want that stupid bee-atch to assume I'm not home because she can't see the car and call the cops to tell them that my kids are home alone...and when they arrive, I'll be here and she'll look like a complete fool. Ha!! I hope my plan works.....

I am so sorry this is happening to you. You are in my prayers!

Thanks, guys...

all I can say is that karma will come around and someday this will happen to her. I don;t want to be around to see it; I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

hmm.... 20 years old, and still acting like a 10 year old.
Sounds like this girl is waging a campaign against you.

Go about your business as you always do... ignore everything she does. You know you're doing the right thing anyway, so let her keep making the false accusations. (Yeah, it's a right royal pain in the ass having to explain yourself to the authorities) Eventually, sooner or later (hopefully sooner) the very authorities she is making these stupid allegations to are going to see her for the crackpot she really is.

Really, she's only cooking her own goose!

By the way... hope the hidden car plan worked! You wicked thing you!

Hope to hear a good ending to the "Story of the Black Elk Bitch"

Wreckless.

Sounds pretty passive-aggressive to me.....but I like it!! LOL

Lol! Dharma!!! You're dealing with a highschooler!!!

I love this shit. I mean, not that it's happening to you, but that these people exist. I would be so angry if I were you... but I have a *slight* temper problem

If I were you, I would mess with her as much as possible (ie car in garage, have your kids sit outside for a while so she says they're locked out, something legal just to mess with her mind).

Seriously!! These people exist!!! I wish I lived in your neighborhood, I would do my best to act like a petty child myself and make her wish she had never messed with Dharma's crew! lol

Oh, I intend to....I fully intend to. I'm going to play her at her own game and she's going to end up looking like more of a fool than she already does.

Oh the wonderful world of base housing - been there, done that and hope I never have to go back. There is someone like this in every housing complex. The best thing about base housing is that you don't own your home at some point you move or they move and life goes on. It would be worse if you had to live by this woman for years and years. I'm sure the truth will come out but somehow when someone makes an accusation against you it just makes you feel like you've done something wrong even when you haven't.

I had a neighbor who kep turning me in for babysitting illegally. I watched my friends daughter one morning because her husband had to go to a school and wasn't on his usual night shift as a favor, didn't get paid. This woman made so many complaints that finally they told her they wouldn't act on them unless she could get another neighbor to back her up - we didn't have any BEB so all the neighborhood drama settled down after that and we all had a party when she moved.

I also had a friend whose hubby was on deployment and someone told her husband that she had a man over at her house - it was the pest control guy who looked like Barney Fife - six months without sex sucks but she wasn't going to go to that extreme - lol!

You know its hard enough dealing with your husband being gone without having to deal with this crap too. I'm mad for you. Get her email address and we'll all send her hate mail. She needs to go back to high school.

Is base life a strange place to be or what?

I don't know how old your kids are, but my parents used to leave me along when I was a kid. A quick run to the store when I was 10 and by junior high the three of us (me and siblings) were getting ourselves to schools some days. Personally, I don't think an hour on thier own is a big deal if they are responsible kids. No way for pre-schoolers, and no kids should be left alone for a whole day, but I think the time line you are talking about is no big deal, even if you did have a job, which you don't.

I'm beyond shocked. I hope that busy body gets some well-deseved karmic rebound.
