I couldn't decide which one to post today, so I'm posting both.

'There is only one teacher. What is that teacher? Life itself. And of course each one of us is a manifestation of life; we couldn't be anything else. Now life happens to be both a severe and an endlessly kind teacher. It's the only authority that you need to trust. And this teacher, this authority, is everywhere. You don't have to go to some special place to find this incomporable teacher, you don't have to have some especially quiet or ideal situation: in fact, the messier it is, the better. The average office is a great place. The average home is perfect. Such places are pretty messy most of the time - we all know from firsthand experience! That is where the authority, the teacher is.'

Dharma and Karma, I've been working endlessly on my desk since last night... looking good. My house on the other hand... has anyone ever had their whole house perfectly clean and organized?

I hink it was a week or maybe two after we first moved in, then, it was total chaos!!
I should a lot from my house too!

I had my entire house organized and clean.............then we sold it It will probably take me another 7yrs or more to get this one organized. I can't keep a house clean until I get it organized. I get too distracted by all the projects that need to be done that I don't know where to start. Then I end up doing quick clean ups that don't last. I also have two proficient mess makers. I have a lot of house so I should be taught a lot

Ever notice that your desk gets cleaner but it just seems to move somewhere else?

I try to clean the rooms that people see.....the rest I close the door on.  Bathrooms are typically clean....except lately because we ripped one apart, one was clean, and the other one that usually only I use is a total disaster.

I thought I was the only person that did that!! And if all the rooms are clean and neat, you can bet that the closets and drawers are crammed full of junk...!

I don't think that my whole has has ever been neat and tidy all at the same time. There's usually at least one room that could use being picked up. I know people who are fastidiously neat...I hate going to their homes because I'm always afraid to sit down or touch anything. They're always stressed, too....driving themselves nuts having to have everything 'just so'. Stuff like that just hasn't really been that important to me...as long as we're not living in a pig sty and my kitchen's not a health hazard, I'm usually pretty happy.

My mom is ridiculously neat. Our house is never really messy. It's usually pretty damn immaculate. It's lived in, of course, and you can tell, but still. I don't think it's really ever messy. Except when I come home on break

That's just because she used to clean houses as a sort of side job. So she is used to clean. And she likes it that way. She hates when I don't make my room immaculate.

I wish my mom would clean my room here

Anyhow. I really like today's quotes too. The first one, particularly
