She's a 9 week old purebred boxer pup.  We're making the decision about her name this evening, but right now Grace/Gracie (because she's a wee bit clumsy yet), Maggie (the name of the girl in 'Million Dollar Baby' - the girl boxer, geddit?), or Ginger (because she's a sort of ginger color) are the front runners.  Of course, we could come up with something completely different...but we DO know that as of tomorrow morning she will have a name.

We have a winner!  Her name is Grace, aka Gracie.

As a lad, our boxer (called Snoopy - don't blame me, my father picked the name) would walk with us down the footpath but wouldn't let us near the road. He'd stand between us and the street and keep pushing us back if we got too close. What a great dog he was.

I'm really Gracie is turning out to be all you wanted and more. There are so many happy days yet to come too.

Aw, she has a kissie face. Boxer are beautiful dogs in my opinion. You've got both spectrums covered with your little dachsund and your soon-to-be big boxer. I like the name Grace too (Hence, Ashley grace ).
