Ok, this is going to be short because my head is pounding and I feel like puking...

I got a migraine Friday night/Saturday morning, and I haven't been able to get rid of it. I've tried all my meds, and none of them have helped (Maxalt, phenergan...). I think this is why I was feeling moody on Friday - I usually get an early warning that I'm going to get a migraine (normally 'floaters' that are really bright) and I probably should have recognized my attitude on Friday as a sign that I was going to get a headache...oh well, hindsight and all that.

I'm going to see my doc this morning...I can't stand this any more. I spent all day yesterday in bed because moving around, lights and sounds hurt my bean even more....

...this sucks. This really sucks.

I hope your bean gets better soon. Thinking of you.

You might have a sinus infection.  I thought that I had a killer migraine (I get migraines, too) but it was actually a sinus infection.  The pain meds wouldn't work because it wasn't a migraine.  I find that chocolate, coffee and migraine medicine together work well.  Caffeine actually helps pain medicine work better.

Yeah, I sipped on cokes constantly yesterday...it seems to help a little, as does not getting dehydrated.
Okey doke, I'm off to the doc's now....get a shot in my rear, a few hours sleep and I'm suspecting I'll be much, much better..

..thanks for your kind thoughts, it's really touching and comforting...

Head pain is the worst! I have never had a migraine that I know of but I have had some world champion sinus infections. Make you want to die! Hope you are feeling much better.

I can deal with a lot of pain (and I mean *a lot*) but a bad headache will bring me to my knees.  It's the only pain that I can't manage.  I swear somebody could cut my leg off and I'd deal with it better than a bad headache.

Hope you are feeling better! Hi!

Yes, I am feeling better, thank you all very much. Like Karma, I have a high tolerance for pain, but a migraine will stop me in my tracks. Still, I went and got a shot of pain meds with some anti-nauseas thrown in, and I'm feeling much better already. I also got put on a little hormone therapy because wildly fluctuating hormones are what typically cause me to have headaches..so I'll start those tomorrow and hopefully they'll help cut down on the frequency and severity of the migraines.

On a sadder note, I had to take out the monroe. My doc (who I trust totally and get along with really well) took one look at me and declared that he thought it was starting to get infected...so I defered to his experience and judgement and took it out.

I'm going to go take a nap now and se if I can sleep the rest of this headache away.....
