Pure Nerd
69 % Nerd, 39% Geek, 34% Dork

For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.

The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.

Congratulations!

Would it be outrageously nerdy of me to suggest that this test is ludicrously biased towards nerdiness? Almost everybody who has posted here is either 'nerd' or 'normal'. (Or perhaps it's just that nerds are far more likely to take the test and / or post the results!)

(I don't get the percentages. Looks to me like I would be more of a dork statistically, but then wondering about that probably makes me a nerd...)

I don't need a test; I'm a geek.
I'm sitting here in my computer room amid my Star Trek and Star Wars memorabilia, action figures and such (most of it unopened, of course...that would spoil them), and my collection of superhero toys (unopened). I'm 37, be 38 on Wednesday...I collect toys and comics (not so much the comics anymore...just too damn expensive these days) and try to make a delicate balance that will let me spend as much time as possible on my puter and still stay married (that's hard). GEEKGEEKGEEK!!!
