...just got his report card back today.

The first report card since he got diagnosed with ADD and medicated with Concerta.

This boy has bought every single one of his subjects up at least one grade.  A couple of subjects he did outstandingly well in and went from a 'C' to an 'A'.

This is the boy that I've watched grow and change in the past couple of months.  I've watched him blossom and come into his own.  He's no longer an angry, frustrated, tightly wound child....he's more relaxed, focused, and confident.  He's made (and has kept) friends...he even got invited to a sleep-over next weekend.

He's not afraid of people laughing at his antics anymore.  He used to be so insecure that he felt like we were laughing at him instead of laughing with him.  Now, he's the first to pull a funny face or make a joke.  (It was his idea to style his hair in a mohawk for this picture.)

This boy is my son.  This is my Jake.

And I think he's awesome.

He said "Tell Auntie Jill I said thank you very much" so, I'm telling you!
I just saw this today.  He really cheered me up today.  What a sweetie.
