I applied for a job today.

It was a spur of the moment decision.  I'm happy staying at home, but I have always said that if the right job came along at the right time I'd be just as happy going back to work.

I think the right job has come open.

It's a receptionist/secretarial position in a chiropractor's office.  The Dr also practices holistic therapies and is looking to branch out into Oriental medicine.  I'm pretty familiar with holistic medicine and chiropractic care, I have decent secretarial skills and I'm outgoing and compassionate (which is what the job description called for).  My spiritual beliefs are also compatible with the job.....I think they are, anyway.

I think the time is right as well.

Shea is old enough to watch her brothers (according to base regulations), but with Dave working nights that shouldn't be necessary.  If I get the job, I'd have to leave about 15 mins before they got on the school bus and I'd be home about 45 mins after D left for work in the afternoon.  So, no childcare expenses.

So, I went an filled out an application and talked briefly with the doc and the staff.  I'm hoping for a re-call for a second interview at the end of this week/start of next week.  If the universe means for this to be, then it will be....but in the meantime I'm going to use every resource available to me to 'up' my chances of getting the job.

So, good citizens of JU, I'm asking you to send your good thoughts and vibes and prayers my way in the hope that we can somehow sub-conciously influence whatever powers may be and get me hired there.

Thanks.....
