I was thinking earlier that I reagrd some of you here at JoeU as almost family.  It made me wonder who would fill what familial role...here's what I came up with:

JillUser, Karmagirl,NickyG and Shadesofgrey:  Sisters.  I don't have any sisters, but the way you guys and I interact and talk...well, that's what I have always imagined sisterhood to be like.

Imajinit, Dan, Muggaz and Greywar - my brothers.  More specifically, MJ and Dan would be my younger brothers.  For some reason I feel the need to defend them when they're being attacked but at the same time tell them they're being  idiots (that applies more to Dan than MJ). Muggaz too.  I'd watch his more reckless behaviour thinking to myself "yeah, you'll learn"..but at the same time admiring his reslove to live his life by his own standards. Greywar would be my big brother.  Older (I think, if you're not then I apologize), wiser...a seasoned soldier and all-around good guy.  Someone who's opinion I respect enormously.

Mack, BlueDev and SuspeckTed: Cousins.  Close enough to be regarded as family, but distant enough to maintain a friendly perspective...if that makes sense.

Anne: My cousin.  I regard her in sort of the same way I see Muggaz, but not so extreme.

PoetMom and SheryeHanson: My aunts.  Slightly older, a little wiser...women who's advice I feel I can trust because they've 'been there, done that'.

Oh, and last but not least, Brad.....

..he'd be my godfather, of course!!

I'm gonna pet him and squeeze him, and I think I'll call him George

Yes I have seen that cartoon....one of my faves, actually.

I'm glad I've got good family here! I'm glad to see who made the sister list and would have to agree that we are in some good company.
Peace

Well, I see how it is. Even though, I'm like "the little kid" around here, I'm not anyone's brother, son, grandson? Nothing like that? Well then, see if I invite you to my birthday party!

Again, I didn't know quite where to put you.  You could be my nephew...you're too old to be my kids and sure as hell too old to be my grandson!!!

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of someone else's grandson. Then I could be like a secong cousin or something like that... Or maybe I could be a brother in law.

But then it wouldn't be MY (Dharma's) family, it would be someone esle's.  See where I'm coming from?

Holy hell, why didn't anyone tell me I was a cousin? Are we getting together for the 4th July or something then? I'll bring potato salad and bottle rockets...I hope that crazy uncle on the other side of the fam doesn't show up with his new trophy wife.

Dharma!  Thanks so much for naming me as a "sister"!  That is so nice!  The other day, I was thinking (I do that know and then) "If I were to pick two people from JoeUser to have coffee with, who would they be?"  And my answer was you and JillUser.  If you ever ask yourself that same question, leave Brad out of the answer- he doesn't drink coffee

I always wondered though, how old are you?  I think that we are close in age, but I'm not sure.  I will turn 32 on the 6th of this month.  I think I'm going to become dyslexic this year, and that will be "23" instead

Brad, "the Godfather"....  I wonder if we can get him to start talking that way

That's EXACTLY what I envisioned when I wrote that sentence...Brad with cotton balls packed into his cheeks, talking in the husky voice..."you ask me to do this thing for you....".

I'll be 35 next month.

Hehe...that would be pretty funny!

35, huh?  I was right when I thought you were pretty much the same age as I am.  We need to know the other "sisters' ages so we know who is the baby sister, and who can be the grumpy middle sisters   I need more coffee......

on May 03, 2004
I'll be a middle sister (I'll be 34 in July) but I don't know about the grumpy part
on May 03, 2004
Jeez, "Mom" must have been busy- 32,34,35.... I think that Nicky is younger, but I have no idea the age of shadesofgrey.  We need to write the "Secrets of the JoeUser Sisterhood" Hi!
